art progress
Week One “12/04/17”: I started working on the outer structure of our art piece, while Oliver was working on the math measurements for the seconds of the music piece of the project. We decided to go with a forest theme for the outside. Then Oliver sent Sophia the seconds for the board and Sophia and Adham started working on the music piece.
Week Two “17/04/17”- “19/02/17”: These two lessons Sophia, Adham and Rowan were downstairs working with us. Oliver spent a lot of time with the music students on how the music should sound. whether it should be a continues loop or a whole piece. It was during this lesson that Sophia came up with the idea of Chinese style music. This was done so the music and the appearance of the road would correlate in design. That weekend, we bought all our supplies.
Week Three “24/04/17”-”26/04/17”: These two lessons, the music crew moved upstairs to work on the music part so they could get the music out of the way so we could transfer it. Meanwhile, downstairs in the art room, Oliver and I worked on sanding down the sides as they were too rough to work on
Week Four “01/05/17”-”03/05/17”: Me and Oliver joined back with music to see how they are working. I was so nearly done with the painting and Oliver has done the standings and Sophia and Adham has done the music with just we seconds to add but we had another problem. We needed to add more time to our project so it plays at least 2 minutes. So we came up with an idea to make like a skateboard ramp so the car can go back and forth so it can last 2 minutes.
Week Five and Six "08/05/17"-"17/5/17": In these two weeks, there was a lot of arguing as how to proceed. Our project has changed a lot from the original plan. We made leaps in creativity in which we shouldn't have and we were having trouble. Also, our project kept collapsing, again and again. About 12 times. It broke down so many times we had to come in lunch to hot glue it again. Overall things turned out okay, however we didn't fully fix some problems.

Little Sister Project
For the remainder of term 2, we will be focusing reality TV. Every student was given a character description and an application form for the 'hit' reality TV show 'Little Sister' (is parody of big brother.)
My character description was 'is very quiet, always plays with hair, and is always daydreaming'
I do have the tendency to daydream and before I cut my hair I did play with but being quiet will be difficult. I have a tendency to be quiet when I'm upset. Sophia claims I can be eerily quiet to the point it makes her uncomfortable.
Here is the application form
This is me in my character.
We were asked to take a photo in character.
She is reading one of her favorite books. In the background is a bookshelf of all the books she's read.

Thought tracking and Cross cutting Reflection
For this assessment the class was put into groups and assigned a scenario. My group (William, Oliver, Kalyani and I) was assigned scenario 1. The scene was of a woman who tells her friend that her husband abuses her. The friend tries to help but they cannot agree. We had to feature Thought tracking and Cross cutting (Jumpcuts)
Initially there were only three characters (the husband, the wife, the friend) but we needed a role for William. We thought of a therapist but how much the therapist should be included and how the therapist should be included caused us to fall out. We consulted Ms. and suggested we change the character to a friend of the husband, fleshing out the husband. We all were in agreement and started acting. We didn't have a script but just went with what we thought would work. That night I went home and worked on a script for the next day. We planned on meeting in lunch however it looked like the drama room was busy so I let the rest of my group take pictures of the script so they can learn it.
On performance day I told William and Oliver that if they wanted to tweek the script to tell me first. William said he might improvise a couple lines and I allowed it. Generally it payed off for him as in my opinion it made the acting more realistic. As for Oliver, his improvisation didn't work in our favor. He extended scenes that I thought should be short and impactful.
Ms. gave us a some advise which was that my back was to the audience and that someone dabbed. (Who though puzzles me)

Thought tracking reflection
This is our first assessment in drama and I'm not proud of it. Our group did not fully understand what thought tracking ment.
A scene was layed out for us to develop and it had to do with violence. We were given some options and our group chose a robbery. I didn't like the idea much so I added a personal twist. The mom, whom I was playing, was a drunk.
One of the positives of our play how real it is. All the other groups over played the concept of a drunk. Mine was the most realistic, as I was not acting incredibly slobbish.
The negative is that we didn't probably thought track. We didn't thought track at all to be honest. This probably lowered my grades and if I could do it again, I would.
